We remind that the following obligations should be met in December 2019:

Payment of thirteenth salary:

  • Employees must receive every month the proportional part of one-twelfth of the remuneration earned during the calendar year.  However, they may request in writing that these amounts be accumulated and paid in a lump sum, in which case the thirteenth salary must be paid by December 24 of each year.

Payment of second installment of the contribution to the Superintendency of Companies, Securities and Insurance

  • The companies that have paid at least fifty percent of such contribution by September 30 may, if so authorized, pay the second installment until December 31[1].

Reports from foreign companies that are shareholders of Ecuadorian companies

  • Foreign companies that are shareholders or members of an Ecuadorian company must deliver to such company a certificate of legal standing in their countries of origin and a complete list of their shareholders or members[2].
