The National Council for the Equality of Disabilities (CONADIS) extended the validity period of the CONADIS disability card until “the proposed schedule for the implementation of the evaluation process based on the ‘Disability Assessment Manual’ by the Ministry of Public Health is completed and reformulated.” [1]

In January 2020 CONADIS also established an evaluation schedule based on the new disability assessment manual; however, given the health emergency, the schedule could not be complied with and is no longer in effect. CONADIS had extended the validity of the cards until June 30, 2023 under this schedule; however, currently there is no expiration date as it is linked to the new schedule.

As a reminder, the Ministry of Health is currently the entity in charge of assessing people with disabilities and determining their corresponding disability percentage.
