Andrés specializes in competition law, both in corporate counseling and in administrative and judicial litigation. He has represented multinational companies in investigations of abuse of market power, anticompetitive agreements, and unfair commercial practices, as well as in merger control proceedings of varying difficulty.

    Since May 29, 2019, a new Commercial Code is in force in Ecuador. Certain provisions relating to the protection of free competition are among the many innovations into the legal-economic regime implemented by the Code.
