Bruno

Bruno leads our Banking, Finance and Insurance team. With more than 25 years’ experience in the sector, complemented by his background in finance, he is one of the most recognized experts in Ecuador in this field.

Bruno is focused on financial, stock market, corporate, and insurance matters. He advises national and international creditors, financiers, debtors, underwriters, sellers and buyers in complex financial and banking operations, often with fiduciary, and regulatory components.

Bruno has been involved in Ecuador's most sophisticated financial operations, including advising foreign banks on the issue, restructuring and consolidation of sovereign debt. He has participated in multiple financing projects in various sectors, including hydroelectric and solar power plants and the new Quito International Airport.

He also counsels foreign and local banks on derivatives transactions.

Due to his work at the Superintendency of Companies, when he was involved in drafting the current Stock Market Law, Bruno is a true connoisseur of Ecuadorian stock market regulation.

Bruno advises insurance, reinsurance companies and brokers across their operations in the country, including structuring and approval of products, compliance with requirements and purchase and sale transactions in the sector.

He has been consistently ranked by publications such as Chambers & Partners, Who’s Who Legal, and The Legal 500. He is acknowledged as the sole “Banking Expert” in Ecuador by Who´s Who Legal: Banking. Chambers Latin America has repeatedly highlighted his capabilities as an expert in finance and corporate law.
