Thais is part of our Dispute Resolution team.

Thais concentrates her practice on regulatory law and administrative dispute resolution. She assists local and international companies throughout the regulatory cycle, from their arrival in the country and operational start-up, to sanctioning proceedings, administrative defense, and closure scenarios or M&A transactions.  

She has extensive experience advising highly regulated industries, including food and beverage, pharmaceuticals, telecommunications, retail, agribusiness, aviation, transport, and IT.

Thais actively participates in proceedings that involve the national health regulator (ARCSA), the telecoms regulator (ARCOTEL), AGROCALIDAD, the Ministry of Agriculture, the National Customs Authority (SENAE), the Ministry of the Interior, and other government agencies. She has solid knowledge of the technical quality standards that apply to goods and services sold in Ecuador.   

She also advises on state procurement processes and project structuring under public-private partnerships and alliances, including regulatory analysis, regulatory risk management, and support in interactions with government entities.  

Her practice combines legal analysis with an operational understanding of business, enabling her to design regulatory strategies geared towards viability, continuity, and risk mitigation in a variety of industries.
